Built as G-6045-11 by A.E. Goodwin - Sydney, New South Wales, 44211 entered service September 22, 1971. On March 22, 1998, it was withdrawn for preservation.

44211 is preserved in operational condition at the New South Wales Rail Transport Museum in Thirlmere
Such a sense of power!!! Love it. I love good train shots.
