FoR - 6

This month I am joining in with Flash of Red February - https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/47572/flash-of-red-february-moves-into-week-2-on-monday,-february-6th
The second week is featuring Found Objects.
Found Object Art

These Artworks are at the Australian Museum.
Ghost nets, or fishing nets abandoned or lost at sea, pose a massive threat to marine life and birds. Net is collected from the beaches by rangers and several Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities are now turning these destructive materials into works of art.
Erub Erwer Meta (Darnley Island Arts Centre) turns these deadly materials into these beautiful works of art - Garom the rock cod and Dauma the mud crab.
What a great exhibition. Hopefully it makes people more aware of the dangers of things lost or abandoned at sea!
