It's the moon

No super moon or fabulous detail but......this is the first moon shot where I have managed some detail and shape - hand held because I was too lazy to get the tripod and find a spot to set it up in the yard - I'm chuffed though and will keep practicing.
Great job! I find it so interesting that we all get to see different angles of the moon.

fabulous, miss annie. aces!

You got great details. I find the full moon so difficult to shoot. Unless I can get it rising, I just don't try.

Works for me!

terrific details and focus!

excellent work, you have really steady hands.Annie....

Excellent shot - I've never photographed the moon (not that I'm willing to admit to anyway as all the shots have been abysmal failures)
November 15th, 2016
Still impressive though!
I caught the "super moon" here in Tuscany, as clear as if it were dangling from a string nearby!

wonderful image! fav

Your ISO isn't that high so this is a great photo - you must have zoomed too?

Great shot! I'm either too lazy or just don't remember my tripod so all of my shots are hand held. Thank goodness for digital stabilization.

Excellent hand held shot. The detail of the craters is very clear.

@aecasey I googled settings and actually knew how to do it fully manual hahahaha - first time for everything
@melston thanks Marci - I was pleased
@ninaganci thank you so much Nina
@jack4john thanks John - camera pressed hard against eye and gripped firmly - very fast shutter speed too so I could reel off quick shots and hoped for the best :)
@graemestevens I googled - it helped - the ones 10 minutes prior are now in the trash hahahaha
@will_wooderson I would like to see your Tuscan Super moon :)
@koalagardens thank you!!!
@maggiemae I googled and they said ISo 100 and yes I zoomed but still needed a good cropping :)

That's so well done Annie. I really have to do some moon shots. I've tried a few times but never got anything worth doing anything with...except hitting the delete button :)

@k1w1 I looked up camera settings for moon photos...and it worked ๐Ÿ˜†
November 16th, 2016
Great capture, expecially for hand held. Was this in the morning?
November 16th, 2016
@bill_fe around 9.30/10pm at night Bill
November 16th, 2016
@annied Well gee that sounds super easy. I did give it a try but was not patient enough with it. Will try again sometime soon.
November 16th, 2016
@k1w1 yes put the camera into full manual mode and set it as was suggested - hahahaha - I am actually more impressed I could actually set the camera than with actual photo hahahahaha
November 16th, 2016
you have got a beautiful moon annie :)
November 16th, 2016
@phil_howcroft thank you Phil - as beautiful as yours I imagine :)
November 16th, 2016
@annied Hmmm, it's upside down, so it must be a bottom hemisphere thing. :)

You can see what I mean in this image:

@bill_fe bottom hemisphere hahahahahaha
we are upside down here lol

That's a fantastic shot for hand-held! All my moon shots are on the tripod. I don't have a steady enough hand for them without it. I love that it's a different view point from ours here in the northern hemisphere. I could stare at it for hours!

@olivetreeann thanks Ann....my hands aren't always this steady - may have been the fast shutter clicks :)
