She's a beauty! Do you ever see any Aveling & Porter engines? They were manufactured in Kent, my home county in the UK.

@annied Most of the A&Ps I see at steam fairs are tarmac rolling machines and I remember seeing them in use when I was a little girl back in the 1950s.

This awesome machine is both impressive and stunning- it must have been a real powerhouse in its day. (Probably still is!) I like the two views presented in the collage- well done!

So pretty. Sometimes I think that with all the developments going on in every sector, many of us yearn for the past. I also think that in those days life was more worth living.
