What a beautiful mushroom. Guess it's poisonous? Do you get many varieties - and why was this the only one on your list?

@seacreature yes, poisonous - most mushrooms are a bit dull - I like shaggy inkcaps (which are photogenic) and boletes (which are not particularly) - but this is simply THE one I want in Autumn (albeit now know there is a purple coral in the north of the county)

I have seen this mushroom only in children's picture books from Europe -- so happy to see a real photo of one! (and glad it came up on Flashback Friday!)
