I live in Melbourne, Australia. I have been a stay-at-home dad for the last year and a half but am about to embark on a four year journey through uni to become a primary teacher.

My kids are my main subject to photograph, but I love landscapes and clouds. I don't get the opportunity to get out there and take shots as often as I would like.

I've been taking photos avidly since I was given a Pentax film SLR for my 21st birthday (I'm 32 now). I now use a Canon 5D Mark II. My lenses are (currently) a Sigma 50mm f/1.4, Canon 35mm f/2 (stuck permanently in manual focus) and a Canon 85mm f/1.8 USM. I also have a flash, a 10-stop ND filter, macro bellows and a tripod I use occasionally!

I've been on here for three months now and have found the community to be very warm and inviting. There are a lot of very talented people on here and it's inspiring. I've found myself thinking about what I'm doing a lot more when taking a photo. Spending the time to frame properly, considering what I want the end result to look like, and so on. I think my photography is improving, what do you think? ;)
