It seems there was a thunderstorm during the night with heavy rain, but I apparently slept through most of it, which is good as I do not like thunder and lightening.
We went into Bishop’s Stortford very early to beat the heat and the other shoppers. We had breakfast in a café, got all the bits and pieces that we wanted, had another cup of coffee, in Sainsbury’s this time where we saw some old friends and then went to Wickes for building supplies before coming home.
This afternoon I watched the F1 Qualy from Silverstone, the race is tomorrow.
Today’s picture is of the first of the Everlasting Sweet-pea flowers to open; this one has the added bonus of a fly, which was washing itself.
