The weather has been dull all day and the winds are picking up late this afternoon. Dougal and Florence have been out, but in Dougal’s case, not for very long. Florence came in around 1500 hours and was almost blown away by the wind. It is supposed to rain soon and get even windier.
I have been uploading my ‘firework’ pictures to my Flickr account, in small batches this time. I spent a lot of time on Saturday uploading them only to have the system collapse with none actually uploaded. I have spent the morning updating my blog, it is work in progress. I have half-heartedly written a blog for several years, but the one I was using would not do what I wanted it to do, so I recently I have started a new one. It is a ‘free’ one and the template I am using is not the colour I want and it does not appear that it can be changed, but it is the layout I want. Until I decide that it is worthwhile paying for an upgrade I will continue with it for now.
I have not been outside, except on to the balcony to secure tables and chairs, two of which had already blown over. Today’s picture is of a miniature Orchid, which lives on my shower room windowsill. It has only recently finished flowering, but has already produced another stem. It will be my ‘emergency’ blip in the future too, to show its development.
