I ordered six species geraniums and cultivars and they arrived in the post today. Looking at them, I wasn't exactly impressed by the quality of the plants - a lot of brown foliage here. But the root systems seemed to be OK and there were small shoots at the bases of the plants, so I'm hoping they'll settle in and grow away. I took them down to the greenhouse and potted them on into four inch pots. Looks like mild weather for the next few days so they should start growing again soon.
I grow lots of our plants like this. As long as they don't look like they are rotting (damping off) they will probably be OK. Every company I have used - usually Hayloft Nurseries or Thompson and Morgan - but many others too are very pleased to send you replacements if you have any failures. Good luck!!
