In June 2014 my husband and I purchased our house, which were built back in 1971.
The house needed renovating and we spent the next year doing a total renovation... There were one thing though that we didn't touch - this beautiful spiral staircase leading from the first floor to the second floor.
The spiral staircase were the very first thing that I fell in love with when I saw the pictures of the house posted online by the realtor ... It's handmade of wrought iron and solid oak planks, and it really suits the house very well. I like the geometric lines and the shadows it casts on the walls, and I like gently sliding my hand over the railing when walking up and down...

You have some lovely pictures. Thanks for following me. I look forward to following you in return. .....also as you seem to be the only other person I know using an Olympus camera. I have the em 10 and love it.

You are right... there aren't that many Olympus cameras out there... and you are the only other person I now know using Olympus :-). I've always had Olympus cameras, so I guess Olympus and I were a great match... started out with an Olympus Evolt E-500 and now I'm mostly using my Olympus OM-D EM-5... I love my cameras too, and I probably never will use anything other than Olympus...
@scotthouston Hi Scott - and thank you for your comment and for the welcome... well - I've purchased my first Lensbaby back in 2007, so I've had a few years to accumulate all that gear :-) ... I'll admit I'm a huge fan of Lensbaby, and I absolutely love the blurry effects and the challenge of trying to walk the balance between blur and sweet spot. It's good fun :-)

We've got a spiral staircase too which was put in place when we converted the space over a spacious garage. Ours is oak. I never polish it, just let it wear it as it wishes.
