Easter holiday... relaxing... enjoying a slice of homemade Apple Cinnamon Pie and a cup of tea :-)
RECIPE FOR APPLE CINNAMON PIE
Ingredients:
125 grams soft butter
125 grams cane sugar
2 large eggs
4 tsp baking powder
4 tsp vanilla sugar
1,7 dl milk
250 grams flour
4-5 medium sized red apples
Steps:
In a large bowl, mix together soft butter and sugar cane until the sugar is almost completely dissolved.
Add the eggs one at a time and mix well.
Add baking powder and vanilla sugar and mix again.
Add milk and flour and mix well.
Rub a pie baking tray with butter or oil and pour the dough into the tray.
Peel the apples and cut out the apple cores. Then cut into slices approximately 7-10mm wide and place them evenly into the dough (core side down).
Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar cane and bake for approximatly 45 minutes at 170 degrees Celcius in a preheated oven.
Serve with whipped cream or sour cream mixed with vanilla sugar.
