My analogue challenge

One of the challenges of working with these vintage analogue lenses is the fact that all focusing must be done manually - it can sometimes be a bit of a challenge even if the object is a static one.

Today I took my new vintage Industar-61 macro lens out again to take a few shots of the bumble bees in our garden... I noticed them yesterday when I went for a quick walk through our garden.
I love bumble bees, but I'm not a huge fan of being too close to them, so this was also a bit of a mental challenge for me. I think it worked out okay though, trying to focus on a moving target with my analogue Industar :-).

Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch this little fella from the front - I just wasn't quick enough - but on the other hand I rather like the look of his plump behind while nose diving into the flower :-).

Gear used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 + M42 to micro 4/3 Adapter + Industar-61 LZ f2.8/50mm.
Wonderful shot!

I love this shot. He looks almost like a little fuzz ball:) Your focus and the soft bokeh are lovely.

Lovely shot. I struggle with manual focus too but you captured it perfectly.
