Nature's staircase

This old tree stands in Hammer Bakker close to where I work, and I drive by it every day when going to and from work, but for some reason I didn't notice until this morning how these roots form a natural staircase on the path right next to the tree… Looking at this nature's staircase triggers my imagination and makes me think of the magical universe created by J.R.R. Tolkien in his beloved books about the hobbits and the rings...

Gear used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 + M42 to M4/3 Adapter + Helios 44-2 f2/58mm.

its amazing what you don't see when it is under your feet,I ,the look of the zig zag path,it make you wonder where it is leading.
