Trying out my new vintage lens for the first time… it's a Tair-3A from Russia and it was made back in 1970… It arrived yesterday and I have been dying to play around with it ever since opening the box yesterday... :-).
this is lovely... so you are able to do digital images with it? just curious as I am new to photography I would have assumed older lenses wouldn't fit newer dslr cameras...
@ulla Hi - and thank you for your comment. Yes - with the proper lens mount adapters you can use these vintage lenses on digital cameras. I own two mirrorless cameras (two Olympus OM-D E-M5 cameras) which works great together with vintage lenses, I especially love the M42-mount lenses, and adapters for M42 to Micro Four Thirds (mirrorless) are easy to find cheap on eBay... adapters for digital cameras (those with mirrors) I am not familiar with at all, I have heard that some vintage lenses might touch the mirror on the camera, but other than that I know nothing about using vintage lenses on non-mirrorless cameras. On mirrorless it's a pure joy to use these vintage lenses - you get bokeh like nothing else and mostly they are much cheaper than the modern lenses... I really love using these vintage lenses and I choose them over the modern lenses almost 90-95% of the time when I use my cameras :-).
@atchoo wow thank you I had no idea... I did know that mirror less cameras are becoming more popular I am fairly new to photography so I have so much to learn!
