This is the pressure gauge to my new pressure canner, a Christmas gift from my hubby. I think we have already used it a dozen times and I LOVE what it allows me to do. Today, I canned 4# of cooked (from dry) black beans today. $5.38 in beans + the cost of lids ($2.09) gave me 15 pints of cooked (pressure canned) beans at 50 cents each. The best part is that *I* control what goes in the jar, the amount of sodium + no other additives.
