"The dragonfly normally lives most of its life as a nymph or an immature. It flies only for a fraction of its life and usually not more than a few months. This adult dragonfly does it all in these few months and leaves nothing to be desired. This style of life symbolizes and exemplifies the virtue of living IN the moment and living life to the fullest. By living in the moment you are aware of who you are, where you are, what you are doing, what you want, what you don’t and make informed choices on a moment-to-moment basis.
This ability lets you live your life without regrets like the great dragonfly."
Love Dragonflies & Damselflies - was lamenting that we don't seem to have many around our yard - then I realized that every time I took a pic of the Eastern Phoebe - it had one in it's beak. Lol
@jochristiansen that is funny Jo...I was wondering how people were able to get such great dragonfly shots and then I happened to be at one of my favorite spots where there is a pond and got a pic of a dragonfly by chance. Knowing where to find them...I returned to the same spot and waited patiently....hence the title of the pic "Patience" :)
@auroralinda Yes I had a favorite spot last year at Belmont Lake - this years it is Lily Lake - so far. Just need a pom, water & sun - because once the sun goes down, they disappear. :)
