Impressions Of Riga III

A peek down Gleznotāju Iela, with my back to Konventa Seta Hotel, Viesnĭca in Kalēju Iela. ('Iela' - "ee'yelah" means 'street' in Latvian.)

Konventa Seta, or at least one of the buildings on the block - the hotel is a collection of old apartment buildings or even older commerce buildings, dating back several centuries - used to be an old convent or nunnery. Most buildings in the old city are from the Hansa period or Art Nouveau (mostly called 'Jugend Style' in the Baltics and Scandinavia.)
