Impressions Of Riga IV

I forget which street this was. It could be Kalēju Iela or Teātra Iela? But it's in the old city of Riga. I love these narrow streets with the buildings almost hanging out over you, as if to watch where you're going. All of these streets have some sort of cobblestone paving. It's murder on you ankles, even if you're in sneakers.
This picture marks the halfway point Year Two. Man, this year is sure going by fast...! ;-p

Hey Bankman this is VERY cool, really takes your eyes away to the end and love the texture on the road.

So is this place as depressing as the photosmake it seem (to me, at least) ?

Thank you for your great comments! I'm sorry I'm so late responding!
Honestly, at day, most of the old city in Riga is quite beautiful and inviting, even if many shops have closed for good. Latvia's economy is improving, we heard, but it's slow going. Even so, the place looks a lot better than it did when I was there last time, in 2006. At night, these narrow street lend themselves perfectly for 'noir' photography. ;-)
