Cornflower Memories by barneyone

Cornflower Memories

When I was a youngster my parents started their own nursery/market garden and whilst they were building greenhouses they grew cutting flowers for a quick cash crop for us to live on until they got the business going. One of the flowers they grew was cornflowers. Dad and I would pick the bunches in the evening ready for him to take bucketfuls off to the market next day. (My brothers were not keen on flower picking, but I loved it). We passed a blue field and himself had to reverse so I could check if they were in fact cornflowers. Memories came flooding back, a poignant moment or three.
Lovely story and lovely flowers. A whole field must be amazing.
