I have been looking at this field with the tree in it for a while now so today I pulled over ant took a few photos this is the one I liked the most from the ones I took. I did crop slightly and increased contrast a bit to lift the colour slightly.
Goodness me you have excelled yourself here Rob, this is outstanding & I can't find words to say how I love it!!! So many faves too, very well done!!!A fave of course!!!
I like the perspective and angle on this one. At first in the thumbnail it looked like two different pictures cut together but now I see it's just one. Very interesting.
@happypat Thank you. All the comments are all very encouraging and to make the PP and also front page has amazed me. I have passed this by for the last 17 years often wondering if it would make a good photo. And I literally parked in a lay-by opposite, hopped over a fence, and took half a dozen photos hand held with my little Sony. Lets not get carried away, lots of people get this sort of reaction all the time, but I am enjoying the moment.
I absolutely love this shot - the lines that lead your eye into the shot, that tree at the top of the frame and the subtle colours. Fav and follow for me!
This is great. I have been looking at a beautifully shaped tree in the bottom of a dip on one of my regular routes and wondering whether it would look weird in a photo if you were looking down on it and wouldn't be able to see any horizon, but you have inspired me to have a go with this interesting shot, Thanks! fav
If you would like to see what this looks like now I have taken an up to date photo. It is a shame the oil seed rape crop is so patchy but it adds a little character possibly? http://365project.org/barrowlane/365/2013-05-31#comment-14738754
