Zombie bodyguard - 3-09

This is early morning and the dew has formed on the ladybird.
This lady bird has been paralised by a parthenogenetic wasp Dinocampus coccinellae.

Oh my goodness...at first I thought it was a lady bug/bird and then I thought it was a berry that LOOKED like a lady bug/bird.. Fabulous capture!!!
