Two side of a butterfly - 13-09

I have seen so many butterflies looking like this one given lots of different names so i will leave it at butterfly. I would welcome an considered identification from somebody though! Get your books out Louise! Same butterfly but taken from both sides.

At first sight I'm thinking it's a common blue, but obviously one that is tatty and very faded!
