The young farmers club that my son is member off donated £1000 to the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance today and he asked me to go along and take some photos. The Air ambulance is completely funded by charity and needs to raise 2 million pounds each year to keep it flying. They were so accommodating spending time showing the group arround the helicopter and explaining what they do and the equipment they have. We all went inside for tea and coffee and more chat. Then the call came in and they had to go out on a job so we got to see it take off. A really interesting morning. http://www.dsairambulance.org.uk
Well done to your son, these vital service need our support. I support the London Air Ambulance with a regular monthly donation, they are trying to fund a second helicopter for London.
Such a worthy cause & one that Young Farmers here support too. I think it's very appropriate as so many accidents with farmers involve air ambulance. Well done all that helped this worthy cause.
