Instead of my usual ride at the local reservoir trails, I drive a little further away to ride at a local state park. It's not as big, but it's a lot tougher ride, with some nice views along the way as a pay-off for your hard work getting there.
Sounds lovely and I like the way your bike looks like it is looking across the water, taking in the scenery! Do you usually ride solo or take family with you?
@casablanca - I'm the only one in my family with both the interest and physical fitness for the kind of biking I like to do, so for me it is a solitary pursuit.
Must give you a great sense of freedom. I grew up cycling everywhere, mostly solo, and absolutely loved it. These days, I am mostly a hiker but the feel of boots on rock and the wind in your hair......just fabulous.
