ahhhhhh. i can breathe again. my boys' playroom has been an absolute disaster, overrun with too much stuff. so today my mom, my youngest, and i tackled it with a vengeance. we have stacks and stacks of books and toys to pass along to someone else (although my sensitive young'un shed a few tears--he's very sentimental!) feels pretty peaceful for the room to be set right! (:

You certainly captured the two moods perfectly in your photos! That's a great cubby hole system you have for storage; we had the same things for our girl's rooms years ago. To put a spin on the old saying, "When it's good, it's very very good..."
This is a mom's dream come true! I know it was a lot of work. I breathe easier when things are all in their proper place. It was cool that you thought to take a "before" shot. Great job.
@ Clever signage. I use Picnik to edit and there is a function called "fancy focus" which gives you a circle that you can enlarge/shrink and move around the photo. It was my first time to use that one.
