Disappearing

On the way home from my father-in-law’s funeral it was incredibly foggy. A bit unnerving, a bit beautiful. After the funeral was a luncheon at a club where he used to work which gave family and friends time to reconnect and catch up. All things considered it went well. Judging by the number of people attending I think there will be a lot of people missing him.
What a lovely image, although such a sad occasion! I love how you have framed it with the almost silhouetted grasses at the bottom, and delicate detail of the tree branches at the sides. Fave

Beautiful image Becky. Wakes are so important for that connection and shared grieving...they help with the pain x

@seacreature thank you so much for the fave. It was a poignant sight to see the train slowly disappearing into the fog. We pulled over and I took a couple shots out the window.

@narayani thank you. When I saw that train on the bridge I had to pull over and grab a shot out the window. You’re 100% right...it’s part of the healing process.
