I love baseball and the only thing more fun than opening day is the playoffs. I have been to almost every opening day since moving to Atlanta in 1996. It''s full of fun and promise, ceremony, tradition, and excitement. It's only as the season moves on that they break your heart :-). There are bands, music balloons, parades, flyovers, players in new white uniforms, hot dogs, peanuts, cotton candy, beer and 55K people who are excited to be there. I told my partner that the one thing I will regret when I die is that I didn't go to more baseball games! We won 10-8 over the Brewers. Go Braves!
It was a great game! Question though...I see they allowed you to take in your Rebel. No problems doing that? I have always been scared to try it for fear they would take mine away from me.
Sounds like a wonderful day and my daughter just loves those balloons. I love your comment about "its only when the season moves on that they break your heart"! So true!! Well at least your team are off to a good start.
@bobfoto I like sports but am passionate about baseball. I live for spring and opening day. Been like that all my life. Remember watching baseball on a small b&w tv with my grandpa.
