Day One Hundred and Twenty Three

Wigan and Leigh has some very nice parks, and myself and Caitlin spend as much time in them as we can when the weather is nice. As it has been today.

Lilford Park is probably my favourite. It has some lovely woods at the back to have a stroll around, the playground is big enough to keep Caitlin entertained, and it is also in the vicinity of the 'Lion of the Bridge' that we went on a quest to find back in the early days of my house-husbandry.

From a plaque at the entrance to the park:-
These gates were presented to the corporation of the borough of Leigh by Alderman William Collier J.P on the 2nd of October 1957, to commemorate his 25 years Chairmanship of the Watch, Parks and Cemeteries Committee.

You do some cool stuff with Caitlin. I think you'll look back on your project with a smile, remembering all the time you spent together. Great DoF :)
