Last time I had a go at this I got some black and white images that I loved, but I didn't do so well when I added colour into the mix. So I gave it another go.
I almost used another photo for today, but then decided it was too personal and if people hated it I'd get upset. But then I went and posted it on Flickr anyway. What a div.
@shutterbugger I made mine in photoshop. Lines work really well with an empty glass as it bends them, if you fill the glass with water (like this one was) it flips the image, so you can play with that to create something groovy. The distance between the glass and the monitor, the thickness of the lines (if you use lines) all have an effect on the, erm, effect.
@lepi This is done with a computer monitor as the only light source, and a tripod so you can use as small an aperture as you want to. Very little post processing and only a lowly Canon 400D, so if I can do it anyone can :) If you check out my original wine glass shot from back in march I wrote a very, very quick 'how to' in the description.
@mlbc718993 There is very little photoshop involved in this photo. I just used it to create the lines, but you could scan in a piece of wallpaper, find a photo online that you want to use, anything. The only post processing was a crop to get rid of the very top and very bottom of the glass, because I liked the nice clean lines without them. Check out my photo from back in march, I wrote a very quick 'how to' back then. It really is SO simple, and fun.
