Papa Roo by bella_ss

Papa Roo

Each day we watch the roos while we eat breakfast. This last week the same dad, mum and baby has been there. This is the dad flexing his muscles for the camera. I had a shot where he wasn't covered in weeds but I thought the weeds were pretty.
Lovely shot, great focus and love the weeds about him!

What a cute critter

great textures of the fur on the roo and the weeds, he almost looks like a bit of a peeping tom - voyeuristically peering through the weeds

Beautiful!

oh i agree the weeds look great surrounding him, and he does look like he fancies himself as a bit of a body builder!!! Great shot Sheralee;)

August 10th, 2011
great shot!

He probably looks more at home with the weeds around him. He's a big chap. Lucky you being able to watch his little family in the morning.

Nice portrait of this big daddy. Love the sepia treatment, too.
August 11th, 2011
I think he's looking on something. Great catch!!
August 11th, 2011
@girlie - is that really Sepia treatment, I just thought Charters Towers looked that brown at the moment... I went out there today and not much green to be seen!
August 11th, 2011
@bobfoto I did wonder after writing that. I'm so used to the greener than green around here that I forget sometimes how brown inland parts can be. Will have to see what @bella_ss says.
August 11th, 2011
@girlie - good call. Helllooooo Sheraleeeeeee?
August 11th, 2011
Nice shot of him in his environment :)
August 11th, 2011
lovely scene and capture!

@girlie @bobfoto Lol, that's funny. I didn't like to correct Robin but unfortunately that is life as we know it at the moment. It was reasonably early morning so a little warm colouring from the sun maybe. At this rate there will be bare ground out there very soon. This morning the joey and mum was right at the fence but the wire ruins the shot.

I'm really intrigued as to why you come to the Towers JD but you're probably not going to tell me ;-)
August 11th, 2011
@bella_ss Glad to be corrected. Please do whenever necessary!
August 11th, 2011
@bella_ss - it's because of the Chicken Burgers. The secret is the Sweet Chillie Sauce.
August 12th, 2011
@bobfoto Haha! That's the sort of answer I expected.
August 13th, 2011
I think this is an amazing sight to see! :-) Lovely!
