Snake!

I went to put some scraps in my compost bin and this is what I found. I very carefully placed them in and left this little fellow alone. He's a harmless carpet python but I don't like any kinds of snakes.

Pythons are ok but I am always on the lookout for snakes when I am in the garden as I have seen a couple of pythons here. Nice capture.

@elaine55 Would you believe this is the first carpet snake I've ever seen? We usually get Browns, so I'm just pleased to see a non-venomous one.

@psychographer @girlie That was my thoughts Lisa and Robin, he will keeps the mice and rats down. So long as he doesn't decide to have a part and invite the venomous cousins ;-)

@bella_ss I have only seen a brown on the road travelling in open countryside travelling from Brisbane to NSW but I am told where I live there are lots of brown snakes.

@elaine55 yes, they are there Elaine, I know a man from the country came to Brisbane and was bitten by a Brown in Roma St parkland!
