My Get Pushed challenge from Krista @blueberry1222 was to attempt a large scale landscape scene using sepia tones. I've taken lots of photos but have returned to one of my first. I just don't seem to find the right scene for sepia.
I live in a small town 1 1/2 hours from the nearest city. The helicopter is about to land at the local hospital to transport a seriously ill patient to the city. The hospital is the large building in the centre of the shot. The mountains in the background are part of the Great Dividing Range in Queensland, Australia.
@blueberry1222 No Krista, it's just a straight shot with very little processing in Silver Efex. The helicopter does look tiny doesn't it but I'm at 200mm and it's quite a distance away from me. I'm going out of town this weekend so I'm going to try again, lol.
@joansmor Thanks for your input Joan, that's a good suggestion and I will keep an eye out for a clear sky. It's overcast at the moment so you can't see the mountains. I think when you have something in mind no other shot is going to do.
