My son and his wife are both having birthdays today. We were having a surprise dinner tonight but have had to cancel as everyone has come down with the flu... me included.
I took this while on holidays, we were lucky enough to be staying on this side of the lake while the fireworks were on the other side. It was a little funny because they had to stop proceedings while they put out the fire they caused in the surrounding grass.

@aliha I was using my remote and just randomly opened and closed the shutter when I thought there had been a few recorded. This one was quite long at 25 seconds but some with less fireworks were as short as 3 seconds. I used an ISO of 160... hope that helps :)

Sheralee, after I faved this I started looking through your album to come up with your get-pushed challenge. Then we had severe storms move through and I turned off my computer. So, I apologize for the delay. You have so many wonderful photos and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your work. We seem to have similar tastes and I see a lot of nature. My challenge is for you to photograph an item of one color and fill the frame, but not a flower, etc. Have fun!
Bad luck about the flu though, flu season sucks! x
