Yet another shot for my Get Pushed challenge for splash photography. I used off-camera flash for this one and the colour is what is reflected from the background I set up. Not as good as some shown in the tutorial but still I was happy to get this. Here's the tutorial from the Strobist: http://strobist.blogspot.com.au/2009/05/how-to-photograph-water-drops-with-one.html
Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments on my two splash shots from yesterday and if you haven't tried it yet you really should, it's a lot of fun.
Did you have fun? ;) Do you remember when we were all addicted to water shots when we first started 365!? I spent hours at that sink and I'm sure I took hundreds of pics. Funny, of all my shots, one of my water shots was the first print I sold (would never have guessed that)!
@kass Yes, everyone was doing them back then Kass, I tried and failed :) I also would not have thought it would be a water shot to be your first sale, what a great story!
Fantastic!! Imagine the sight of this one made you smile. I like the title you've given it as well. Thanks for sharing the video link. I learned several important aspects to the process. Must give water droplets another try.
Wow! fabulous! I've not been on 365 lately, impossible for me to catch up and leave tons of comments, but I just wanted to say that I browsed on your recent pics, and I love them all! Very creative, clever and well executed!
