I've nicknamed my new lens the Bazooka! The Tamron 150-600mm is so heavy I need to brace one arm on my stomache to hold it... where there's a will, there's a way :) I'm really impressed with the sharpness of the lens. I was standing on my deck while the honeyeaters were having fun in the bird bath.
@espyetta Thanks MaryBeth, I don't know how long I can do it for though! It really is a beast and a monopod would probably be good, I am a bit shaky, just lucky I could use a high shutter speed (1/1000sec).
@joansmor the monopod might be next on my list Joan.
@onewing the things we put ourselves through Babs, I have to use it while I'm able ;-)
Beautiful pic. I am your get pushed partner this week and my challenge to you is to take an image with movement as the main focus. I am away but if you give me a challenge I shall try :)
I keep missing your pics - no time for 365. What a wonderful capture! And wow - what a lens. I need to get a longer lens - my 200 is just not enough reach but I don't want to add too much weight since it would be in my backpack when we hike. Decisions, decisions!
Great shot Sheralee.I missed this one as i go back a thru the uploads i musn,t have gone far enough. Its taking a bit of keeping up with what with the other dash that i,m doing with paid critique (
portraits).I,ll be glad to see the end of the month.
@bella_ss Dash- Insider Sheralee. If you want your photos critiqued by a professional for the month it costs about $80 Plus the $25 for the subject you are doing.I wish that i hadn,t done portrats this month as its too hard to get models and i don,t have the studio equipment required for some of the shots.October dash was a choice of portraits, flowers or trick photography.
Sorry Sheralee Digital photo secrets is the site. They tell you what they want you to photograph each week. You get 2 projects a week with 3 levels to choose from.ie begginer, intermediate ,advanced,.

@westerly45 Not at Susan, it does get you up close to the wildlife though.
@paulaw Thanks for coming back to comment Paula, I find I miss reciprocating if there is no comment but I know it's all a matter of having the time :)
