and a dash of ETSOOI. I made pikelets today using Kass' flour-free recipe which called for ground chia seeds. I used this cute little pestle and mortar that I bought in Montreal. I tried to shoot high key for my Get Pushed challenge from Tineke @tstb. Do you think this passes for high key?
@nicolecampbell I really liked them other than the peanut butter. It was 1 banana, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbspn ground chia, 1 tbspn peanut butter. You know how the Canadians and Americans are about their peanut butter, lol. Next time I would leave it out. My daughter has coeliac disease and I also avoid gluten so I was keen to try it.
@kass This is the result from my pikelets today :) I will definitely cook them again sans peanut butter. We have bananas growing so it's always great to find something different to do with them.
So glad you liked the recipe (without the pb)! ;) I always use almond butter and double the batch. Then freeze them and just pop them in the toaster for a future breakfast. ;)
Great processing - it looks so like an illustration for a glossy magazine. (Pikelets are an old favorite of mine - I use granny's recipe with golden syrup.)
@nicolecampbell@westerly45@swilde@kass Have any of you tried banana ice-cream, I made some for the grandkids today (they love it) it's just sliced banana frozen and then blended. You can also add some flavours.
@snaphappi We always ate them with golden syrup as kids. I really should buy some again.
