With the midnight sun and the cabin we stayed in not having dark curtains, we were up at 4am, on the road at 5 and hitting the sights before anyone else. We had these falls all to ourselves, although there were people sleeping in tents around us. I don't know how they do it, I love the comfort of a heated room at the end of the day.
Stunning image Sheralee. I hope to visit Iceland one day but will live vicariously through your images and another 365er who resides in Iceland until then. Looking forward to many more pics :))
Absolutely stunning shot. I'm with you too with the warm room. Did camping in my younger days, but the bones are too creaky these days. I definitely need comfort.
@bella_ss It has nothing to do with being brave, but being cheap. Where I am going there is a "rustic" lodge. Cost for a room for 1-4 people is $652/night. The campground is $12/night. I'm stay two nights.
@mcrt haha, I completely get that! Some of our nights here are a bit over the top too. I love it when you can see amazing sights for next to nothing. I guess you just need the right gear and you're set :)
@redy4et yes, just David and me, it was a bit tricky for him at first to drive on the opposite side of the road but it's so good to please ourselves as opposed to a tour.
