The geyser just as it was errupting. The water really does look that blue. This geyser errupts every 4-6 minutes and goes 15-20 metres high but sometimes much higher.
@taffy in reply to your earlier question I cannot tell you how much I loved this place. I was reeling in wonder the first few days. It seemed we went from one amazing sight to another. Every one is free. The only thing you pay to see is the Blue Lagoon and we didn't go there. We drove ourselves and for us being on the wrong side of the road can be challenging but the driving is so easy that David coped quite well. Other than when we had snow, that was scary! We were there mainly in June (the last couple of days of May) so possibly later might be a little warmer but you're used to the cold. We had nine nights but that means a different place almost every night, I would recommend two weeks if you want to do the whole island. I considered a tour but I'm glad we didn't because you would never have the option of being somewhere without the crowds.
Wonderful... I like that you captured it just as the beautiful blue water was swelling up. Maybe one day, I can get there. All your photos are helping this location move up the "must see" list!
@bella_ss I will have to see it the next time I am in Iceland. Been there for a short stay once and will be going back with my wife in the next few years.
how awesome
