We went out for dinner tonight to celebrate a friend's birthday but our little town has been over-run by cricketers. We have a long weekend for Australia Day tomorrow and our town hosts a 3 day cricket carnival. Unfortunately some cricketers have it the wrong way round as they are celebrating before they have even played a game. Needless to say the pub restaurant was very noisy so we ate, left and went to Macca's for a coffee where it was nice and quiet. Yep, we're getting old!!
Did you really go out with friends and then sit and read a book? Whatever, the setting here is pretty cool and I like the sound of sitting there with a book and a glass of wine away from the noise of the cricketers. It is a lovely night shot.
Excellently done and well thought out Sheralee its a lovely image, with all those record temperatures you are having its possibly the coolest place to be:)
@helenhall Yes, we did go out but we were home so early that I still had time to take this photo. But I don't have my glasses on so I would have had a lot of trouble actually reading the words :) Thanks for the nice comment.
@pcoulson Thanks Peter, we have been so lucky with the temps here, it's been unusually mild with temps around 33/34C. Still pretty warm but those poor people that have experienced 49C, I can't even imagine it!!
