The meander of the Severn by beryl

The meander of the Severn

On my way home from the Hospital appointment yesterday ,my friend took me for a short car drive to look at the Severn We were pleasantly surprised to see that the river was behaving at Ironbridge it was up to the top of the banks ,but the barriers were not put up . Lower down at Buildwas the meander in the river could be definitely seen .
Best seen large on black !.
A lovely capture and super processing. Hope Hospital appointment went ok. Fav

We made a stopover in London a couple of days ago, and I could see the extended flooded area. On the other hand, it looks very green and beautiful.

Wow. Looks as though there is more rain in that sky too. We have been watching on the news here in Australia about the floods in the UK and the deep freeze in the US and here we are sweltering.

@sailingmusic Answered you once then lost it !!! Simply YES -- The Severn is th longest river in the UK , rising in the mountains of Powys Mid Wales , flows through Shropshire .>Worcestershire >Gloucester and the Severn estuary passes Newport before discharging itself into the Bristol Channel !
