As you can see the original cottage is extended to make into a habitable home . There is a lovely picnic area by the side of the cottage facing the mere where the duck, geese and other water birds roam freely
@wendyfrost I think the occupants have boats on the mere hence rely on the tourists for income . but personally I would hate to live there with all the visitors there all year round -- no privacy at all !
Very pretty capture and scene. Goose can be a bit messy. When my son was staying in the Stoke-on-Trent area and close to a lake geese and swans used to come up even near his front door and they used to leave a big mess all over the place.
