A wet morning , the land really needs the rain , everything is so dry ! the weather forecast is for showers for the next few days .
Unless the cyber threats disrupt things , the time has finally come for me to have my Knee replacement surgery . I go into the PRH ( Princess Royal Hospital ) for 7.30 am tomorrow . Being diabetic -- I think I'll be first into the theatre . - The way I like it , with no waiting before the op !! I must admit I feel rather nervous about it all . I assume I shall be in hospital for approx. 4 days - so its au-revoir for a week or so until I am back on track - love you all ! xx
NB - JUST HAD A PHONE-CALL , MY OP, HAS BEEN POSTPONED TILL JUNE 6th due to orthopaedic surgeon having an emergency op to do tomorrow !! I feel very delated to say the least !!
Good luck with your op Beryl. A friend of ours had his knee replacement 4 weeks ago and he is already up and about again. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
@dizzyd@sangwann@boatman137@paulaw@lyndamcg@gigiflower@onewing@ivan Thank you all for your kind wishes BUT while out now doing last minute shopping I had a phone call advising me that my op is postponed till the 6th June , aaargh !!!! apparently the surgeon has to perform an emergency op tomorrow ! ( I must think charitable -- as that emergency could have been me !!)
Oh no, it is so hard to have to wait another whole month, after getting ready emotionally for the surgery. I'm so sorry. I know many people with new knees, you will do just fine, it's just getting it done that takes the toll on you. Rest easy this month! This photograph could be a note card, it is lovely!
Oh no!! I thought you were going to say, due to this cyber attack! Things like this make me cross, I'm sure they don't really appreciate the awful affect it has on people! My daughter had an outpatient appointment cancelled today too!
A lovely image!
Oh b..... Beryl, how very disappointing when you have waited such a long time! I really feel for you as it's so nerve wracking syking yourself up anyway. I was really fearful that this would happen too but hoped you would escape! Don't unpack your case it will soon come round although it must seem a long way off tonight! Sending a big big hug! Xxxxx😘😘💐
Lovely droplet image Beryl.
I know just how you feel, it will soon pass, I know my op was cancelled from the end of January to the 24th February and even though I was crippled I was so relieved and really enjoyed the three weeks before I went in. I've had both my knees replaced and although it's harder than a hip replacement I was up and running within 3 weeks and getting around without a stick by 6 weeks. Just look forward to being mobile and pain free!
Like your photo Beryl, is the flower a Vinca minor - Periwinkle (Myrtle).
disappointing, but it will get done Beryl. I am still waiting for my last knee to be done. I think they have forgotten me, that's the NHS for you. :)
