Christmas cake . by beryl

Christmas cake .

Another year and another cake I said last year I would not be doing a Christmas Cake this year - but when the time came the tradition got the better of me ! The decoration is very simple ,but I think quite effective . I bought a new cutter to stamp out the holly leaves which made the decorating much easier . especially as I am in quite a pain with a flare-up at the moment , I hope it will pass over Christmas when I can rest and relax ! !
Wow - this looks lovely. What a nice job your new cutter does of the holly leaves.

Great job with the decorations. My wife always says she will cut down of baking anything and everything for Christmas but when it gets near she is back to work on her pastries, cakes and other sweets.

I like simple Beryl! I never got past the snow scene type decoration, well no one did in those days! I don't eat Christmas stuff much, neither mince pies, cake nor pudding, not that keen but Harry loves a bit of cake, must send him down to you!! He has to make do with M&S these days poor thing!

So sorry you aren't too good at the moment, revving up for Christmas is too bad! Perhaps you've been doing a bit too much, take it easy.
