Ooh busy shopping street! A nice pedestrian only street so no need to watch for traffic. This will be a grand area for you to get about Beryl! Good to see new places!
It does look very busy Beryl, do you have an out of town shopping, we have in LLanelli and it's spoilt the town. We could have accommodated all the businesses that's set-up out of town. :)
@dannydavies - I was amazed to see it so busy- I do not go into town only when necessary ( mobility issues ) the town has really suffered in the wake of Telford new town . Wellington and all the small towns around seem to be full of charity shops , but we do have a market hall on four days a week which does help although the market is also by now struggling ! Sad!!
A good street shot. It does look busy which is good to see. Hereford has a new development of shops, restaurants and a cinema on the site of the old cattle market. It’s really good but sadly the old town centre has really suffered. There are now lots of empty shops.
@beryl It's the same every where. You can blame the councils, between them all, they are making millions. and shoving, yes shoving the small shop keeper OUT. Putting up the rates they have to bear, in the end just closing shop. I remember carmarthen, built Tesco a shopping unit and I believe they had free rates or rent for 5 years just to get Tesco into carmarthen. but when the 5 years was up. tesco moved to a new unit and were given more dosh for relocating. Councils are ready to help the big boys but not the small business people who put the towns on the map like Wellington. Have a nice day. :)
