The birds are eating me out of house and home these days ! Nice to see the greenfinch coming to feed as well as the usual house-sparrows . I Also I see the goldfinch and coal tits flitting about , but as yet havent been able to capture them . - too fast for me !! To my delight this morning the little Wren was hopping about - such a shy and skittish little bird !
Such a cold and dull day for June - no sigh for that " flaming June " I am afraid !
Greenfinch's soon empty the feeders but it is lovely to have them along with the other birds in the garden and great to have a wren come to see you. Wet and cool here Beryl not like June at all.Fav
We've had no Greenfinches this year, previously we had lots. But we get loads of Blue Tits and other Finches. This year we have been visited by two or three Woodpeckers daily.
I’ve just written on another post that we must try & position our bird table in a better place in our new place. Unless I want to stand fir ages at the kitchen window I miss all the different birds that visit ours. Always loads of sparrows, blue tits etc but we miss the shyer
Ones. I like the addition of the Foxgloves! They eat loads do t they, we seem to spend acfirtune, we are a bit bothered that when we move the new people won’t be feeding them the same, they will think we have deserted them....makes me sad. I must make an effort when they come round next to point out the birds & table!
I notice that on a comment to Pat - you said you had polymyalgia. What have you done to cope with that? Medicine wise etc. Our oldest son has it in Japan and he was put on steroids for years which resulted in him getting blood clots which nearly killed him!
This is a lovely clear photo of this sweet green bird!
Great capture of those nice birds .
( I stop feeding birds as soon as they have egg`s. Most seed eathing birds chance there food from seeds to insects as they have to feed the young ones. )
