Another belated Birthday gift . I feel so cross that in unpacking ,the one branch broke off !! - so now it sits in a little jug of water on my Kitchen window-sill while the plant itself is in the Dining room - I never have much luck with Poinsettias - they die on me pretty quick !!
It’s a big branch too Beryl! The lovely colour of the bright red is very festive. Our DIL from NZ has for a few years sent us an M&S Poinsettia & if I put it on the kitchen windowsill it’s still there alive & well in March....I get sick of it as most of the leaves have turned green & its straggly but alive! Hope yours does better....I only water mine when it’s nearly drooping!
What a shame your poinsettia lost a limb I hope the rest of the plant gives you a lot of pleasure. I can keep them going for years and end up putting them out in the garden in the summer as I am fed up with seeing them. Lovely capture in the light from the window.Fav
This is a sweet closeup. My sister says poinsettias need sunlight and water. Mine last a few weeks in the house during the holidays, but since my house is dark I can’t get more than a couple of weeks out of them.
