This plant is a fly trap or a carnivorous plant which will devour small flies . I have always been fascinated by these carniverous plants - there is something quite prehistoric in them !! In spite of the fascination I have never bought a plant -- I suppose the fascination would dwindle in no time ! , plus the fact you had to water with rain water as chemicals in tap water would destroy the plant !

I always remember one of those Venus Fly Trap plants...how fascinated we were when young...can remember now watching & waiting for a fly to land & even worse feeding it with a fly...how could we? Lovely colours on this one....
