Penrhyn Castle - on the estate , what are they ?

This tree was in the grounds -- so healthy and green.- but I couldn't decide what was the tree and fruit ! Can any one help -- it's bugging me !!

Yes I think @quietpurplehaze Is right they have that green outer shell until they drop off when ready.

Interesting unripe walnuts, I had never seen a walnut tree until I went to NZ.

@quietpurplehaze Thanks Ray for getting me out of the misery of kicking myself for not knowing . Had seen them before on another NT estate but for the life of me couldn't remember what they were ,but once you mentioned them Hazel it GRADUALLY dawned on me -yes they are Walnuts .
I was interesting in the balance scales as I had an old balanced scale from my grandmother's village shop . Had it for years but had no place now to display it and the cleaning of all the brass had something to do with me selling it !!
