The light from the window reflects gently on the mandarin oranges ( Ooh , I wish you could see their bright colours !! ) The b/w enhances and clarifies the pattern on the dish !
In the color version you are drawn to the colors. But in this version you really see the shapes and patterns. This picture is a good example as to artistic choice. You may decide the color is what you want to feature because of how it makes you feel. But on the flip side, you may decide that the more subtle mood of black and white gives you a different feeling. It's really up to you as to what you want to present and what you want the response of your viewer to be. Good shot Beryl!!
