Great catch - love the flowers - have never seen anything like it

This plant only grows in one area in the world and that is on a hill near where I live. It is a Leucospenum bolusii, part of the protea family. The buds as you can see are a lovely red colour and wehn they open the flower is like a fluffy white pincushion. They are of the small proteas. The fly would give you some idea of the size of the flower.
